What are the Big Build Projects?

Victoria’s Big Build is all about investing in our state’s infrastructure. That means new and improved roads, railways, tunnels, libraries, hospitals, housing and campuses across the state. Signing on for a Big Build Apprenticeship means being part of some of the biggest construction projects in Victoria’s history.

Following the Victorian Government’s Local Jobs First policy, at least 10% of Big Build labour hours are allocated to trainees and apprentices. Right now, Big Build Apprenticeships are running at the Warrnambool Learning and Library Hub, New Footscray Hospital and North East Link.

Big Build Apprenticeships will also be offered at:

  • Frankston Hospital Redevelopment
  • Social Housing Projects at Bills Street, Hawthorn (Wave 1)
  • Suburban Rail Loop
  • St Kilda Pier redevelopment
  • Chisholm TAFE Frankston Campus Stage 2 Redevelopment
