Retrenched apprentices and trainees program

Are you a retrenched apprentice or trainee?

Maybe you lost your placement and became unemployed due to COVID-19, or your training was interrupted during lockdowns. We know a lot of people had their apprenticeships and traineeships disrupted in the past couple of years. And we want to help you get back on track.

The Retrenched Apprentices and Trainees Program was created to deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

How can we help? The Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN) is working with the Department of Education to maintain a Victorian register for retrenched apprentices and trainees.

There’s also support on offer from staff who can provide job matching and other assistance.

Register with the Retrenched Apprentices and Trainees Program to get help with re-starting your apprenticeship or traineeship with a new employer.

Interested employers with vacancies for apprentices or trainees can also register to have roles matched with great candidates.
