Trade Papers

Trade Papers recognise the successful completion of your trade apprenticeship and acknowledge the deep technical trade skills you’ve gained.

You can receive a free Trade Paper if you have completed both:

  • a recognised apprenticeship in Victoria, which you started after 1 January 1995, and
  • the apprenticeship’s relevant qualification with a TAFE, trade school or registered training organisation

Apprenticeships started before 1995

If you need a replacement of your original Trade Paper, you can apply for a replacement certificate of completion through the VRQA.

Apprenticeships completed before 1 July 2021

If you completed your apprenticeship and relevant qualification before 1 July 2021, you can apply to receive a Trade Paper through this link.

Apprenticeships completed on or after 1 July 2021

For apprenticeships completed on or after 1 July 2021, newly qualified eligible apprentices will automatically receive a Trade Paper in the mail.
