Big Build Apprenticeships

Victoria’s Big Build is all about investing in our state’s infrastructure, roads and railways. And with the new Big Build Apprenticeships (BBA) scheme, we want to invest in you, too.

Just like other apprenticeships and traineeships, Big Build Apprenticeships help you earn while you learn. That means real wages in your pocket while you complete on-the-job training and formal study. You’ll end up with a qualification that’s recognised nationally, plus heaps of valuable real-world experience.

Where can Big Build Apprenticeships take you?

Big Build Apprenticeships is a program run by Apprenticeships Victoria. BBA offers apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities on some of Victoria’s biggest projects, such as the North East Link, the New Footscray Hospital and Warrnambool Learning and Library Hub.

Choose from career pathways that can lead to rewarding jobs such as plumber, carpenter, electrical contractor, project manager, building inspector and plenty more. Skill or re-skill, with opportunities open to all kinds of people from wide and diverse backgrounds.

With Big Build Apprenticeships, you can be part of Victoria’s biggest infrastructure projects, play an important role in rebuilding our economy, and learn new skills that’ll set you up for life.

Who can get involved in Big Build Apprenticeships?

Big Build Apprenticeships welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, including school leavers, retrenched apprentices and trainees who lost roles due to COVID-19, older workers looking to re-skill, women, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.
