To be eligible, participants must be:
- Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Physically present in Victoria for the duration of the training provided, and be committed to take on apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities in Victoria.
- In one of the under-represented cohorts in the construction sector, including: Women over 45, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, and People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds and long term unemployed.
Please note:
- Skills First funding is only available for two courses in one year.
- Eligible participants may be referred via a variety of partners, including Skills and Jobs Centres, they can also apply through the Apprenticeship Victoria portal.
- Individuals should confirm whether their participation affects any statutory or financial arrangements they have with other Government agencies.
