RTOs: Employer Satisfaction Survey

Tell us about your experience with RTOs, apprentices and trainees.

The Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) invites all employers of apprentices and trainees to have their say in their Employer Satisfaction Survey.

If you employ an apprentice or trainee who attends or has recently graduated from training at a registered training organisation (RTO), the Employer Satisfaction Survey is your chance to tell us how satisfied you are with the training they received.

You will have already received an email or letter asking you to participate.

The quickest and easiest way to complete the survey is to do so online:

  • scan the QR code on the letter you received
  • or click your individual survey link if you received an email invitation or reminder.

Alternatively, if you prefer to complete the survey on paper, please complete the survey booklet and post it back to Wallis Social Research using the self-addressed envelope.

If you do not complete the survey through one of the above methods, you might receive a call from Wallis Social Research offering you the opportunity to complete the survey over the phone.

The survey results will be used to improve the quality of education and training in Victoria and to help Victorian employers, like you, have the right people with the right skills.

Without doing surveys like this we can't improve our system or keep it running to the standard that it's at.

Who is the Victorian Skills Authority?

The Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) was established as an Administrative Office of the Department of Education and Training (DET) by the Victorian Government in July 2021. In early 2023, the VSA became part of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR).

The VSA is a key link between Victorian employers, industries, training providers and communities. It aims to match Victoria’s employment demands with training and help Victorian employers and communities find workers with the skills they need, when and where they need them.

Every employer should complete the survey because it gives them (the) opportunity to improve our VET system.
